相手の都合も考えずにいつものように気の向くままにパレスチナ研究者の友人に連絡をしたら「シリアがひどい」という返信をもらった。
私は今世界の現状についてまるでわからず、ついていけないから、何がどうなっているのかと思ったが、大きなことが動くとき、一番巻き込まれる人たちはいつも社会の弱者だろうと感じた。戦場にも障がい者はいるだろうし、家もない人は、どう生きていくのかと感じる。
勝ち負けや思想信条にこだわることで、人が死んだり傷ついたりするなら、私はそんなものはもう必要ないのではないかと思ってしまう。人は皆、誤ちを犯す。どこまで許すのかが問題になるけど、出来る限り、許しあえる社会になれればいいと思う。この世に命を授かった人たちが一秒でも長く、充実した状態で生きられること、幸せを感じられること、そここそが全てなのではないかと思う。今の私には世界情勢のことを語れる知性も能力もないけれど、単純に、同じ世界に住む人たちに笑顔が増えてほしいと感じる。幸せは幸せを呼んでくるから。
私を含めて、同時代に生きる人たちの健康と幸福を願う。
なんとなく、募金でもしようかなと思っている。
When I contacted my friend who is a Palestinian researcher as usual without considering the other person’s convenience, I received a reply saying “Syria is terrible”. I don’t understand the current state of the world at all and I can’t keep up, so I wondered what was going on, but when big things move, I felt that the people who are most involved are always the weak in society. There must be people with disabilities on the battlefield, and I wonder how people without homes will survive. If people die or get hurt by being obsessed with winning and losing and ideology, I think that such things are no longer necessary. Everyone makes mistakes. The question is how much we should forgive, but I hope that we can become a society where we can forgive each other as much as possible. I think that it is everything that people who have been given life in this world can live a fulfilling life for even one second longer and feel happy. I don’t have the intelligence or ability to talk about the world situation right now, but I simply feel that I want more smiles to appear among the people living in the same world. Because happiness brings happiness.
I wish health and happiness for all those living in this era, including myself.
